hello. found this site yesterday while looking around. i thought i would join in.

i have the whole first week of archery off and will be in Levy county hunting with my brother. then when i get back i have a short wait and archery season starts here where my lease is. my brother took a few days off to hunt with me then. i've been tending my stands and feeders and the deer, hogs and turkey have been tearing it up. i've been shooting my bow almost everyday-getting in that practice. man i can hardly wait to get into the stand!

Welcome aboard!

Sounds like you are geared up and ready to go. Best of luck down in Levy County. Keep us posted on how you make out and as the season progresses.

I've always wanted to get into archery, but haven't took the time yet. I keep saying one more year, but next thing I know the next season is upon us.

you can spend a lot of money on a bow and all the stuff that goes with it. my brother won the bow i got in his church bow tournament, and gave it to me. two places in tallahassee i would reccommend first is Campbell's bait and tackle. Mike is a certified PSE dealer. he will fix you up. and Blind Eye Outfitters. Jason is a Mathews dealer. both are full time archery pro shops.

unlike a gun, you can shoot your bow in your backyard without upsetting the neighbors. my girlfriend is going to buy a bow as soon as she gets the money saved. she watches me shoots and gets mad because she can't join in on the fun. and the best part is you get 30 days of hunting where anything is legal but spotted deer.

here's my bow. mathew's classic 29 inch draw, 70 pound pull weight, WB arrow rest, carbon arrows, rage broadheads, and a single pin sight.

I shoot a browning illusion and love it. Bowhunting def gives you a good shot at getting a deer before everybody gets out there lol.
