I was fishing this morning at Lake Lafayette and a friend of mine caught a fish that neither of us knew what it was. I was wondering if anyone could help us to identify this fish. Thanks.

| That looks like a Mud Fish. Also called a Bow Fin. Did it put up a good fight?

Thanks a lot. My friend and I had never seen or caught that fish before. It did not put up that great of a fight though, more like just dragging it in. Thank you again for letting me know what kind of fish it was.
