The Apalachee Longbeards is our local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. This is a national conservation group and has done a great job with bringing back the Wild Turkey in the State of Florida as well as the rest of the country.

Their annual hunting heritage banquet has already took place for 2008, but they already are gearing up for 2009. To find out more visit their web site at www.apalacheelongbeards.org

One of the auction items at the 2009 banquet will be a Rio Grande turkey hunt in Texas.  Also, there will be a tukery hunt in Nebraska and an archery deer hut in Nebraska.
