I'm coming in town for the weekend and instead of staying in a hotel I'm bringing a tent.  Wondering if anyone can give me directions to a place I can set up and maybe see some pigs to hunt.  Please let me know if you know any place suitable.  Preferably not on a state campgrounds so I can actually hunt varmint or swine.

Thanks

Our state parks do have very nice facilities and would recommend Torreya or Ochlockonee River State Park.

Since you are looking to hunt you might want to try a WMA like the Apalachicola National Forest or Tate's Hell. They both have several campgrounds throughout, but it is spring turkey season and you will need to check the rules and regulations about where you can stay or what game can be harvested.

Here is a link to brochures for all the Wildlife Management Areas in Florida. We are located in the Northwest section. http://myfwc.com/RECREATION/Hunt_WMABrochs.htm

Good luck and let us know how you make out and how the camping is!
