Any hunters from Gadsden county. Where you hunt? Dog or Still? Stories to tell, and general hunting info.

I'm on a lease in Hardaway area. On openong day of bow season saw one 4 pointer.

A fellow in a club harvested a doe on Mon. around 10 AM.

I hunt family property off hwy 267 near Talquin. We have seen some good sign. In the past we have taken nice size bucks off our plots.

I grew up hunting over near Greensboro and hunt these days over off 267 towards lake talquin. We have always still hunted, but occasionally got invited to run dogs back when robert brent was open for it. The last several years with all the private land owners following more deer management practices the bucks seem to keep getting bigger and better in Gadsden. Back when I was a kid if someone shot an eight pointer it was a big deal.... It's still a big deal to me, but now days most hunters will not shoot a buck unless it's a decent one.

Overall it has to be one of top four or five counties to deer hunt in Florida.

For next week the weather report looks good. We should have great  hunting on Thanksgiving weekend.

Thats last year. My 12 y old first doe.

I'm bringing my two boys along, so maybe will have backstrap diner for Sunday.

Good luck to all.
