The more time I spend at the range, the more I wish I had a small bit of land where I could go shoot (target practice) and possibly even go after some game. I was thinking that it would be a nice weekend getaway place to take the family and even to start doing some clearing and permaculture planting. Utlimately, we could even possibly build on the property. So, my thoughts were to buy a small bit of acreage (5+ ac) to do all of that.
Then, I heard some stuff about "Hunting Leases" that I didn't know before. Originally I pictured them as run-down cabins in the woods where guys go hangout on weekends a few weeks before and then on weekends during deer season. LOL!

I've since learned that many leases can offer year-round recreational opportunities for the family and for a fraction of the cost of buying property. Other than the lack of long-term ownership and homesteading on the property, it sounds like a hunting lease would meet a lot of my other "needs".

So, here I am asking for more information on hunting leases. I like to target shoot (small caliber - .22 and 9mm), hike, camp, and kayak fish. I'm considering getting an ATV or 2. I have a wife and two daughters. The ideal "hunting lease" for me would:

-Good Hunting (Umm, yeah... ...that would certainly be nice, huh?!)
-Fishing where I could launch my kayak. (Lake, Pond, Creek, River)
-Have a cabin/trailer with electric, running water, plumbing for occasional use.
-Have good trails/roads for hiking and ATV'ing.

Am I dreaming or do these exist with some frequency. Where can I go to find out about what is to be expected and what might be available in the area?

Thanks!

looking for good hunting lclub

looking for hunting club in north or north central Fl., or within 3 hrs. of Orlando

trying to keep it around $1000 or less

thanks

New members wanted at the Ocheesse Hunting Club

Anyone interested in joining a Deer, Duck, and Fishing club in Sneads can call my brother Neil at 850-592-9218 or visit our new website, (perform search for ocheessee hunting club). This is a great area known for good bucks. We have 45+ food plots, many are 2-5 acres in size. We keep them planted year round with clover as our spring and summer food source. We have a really good mixture of harwoods with white oak ridges, creek bottoms, and various stages of pines. We also have around 2 miles of power line that runs through our main tract (2400+ acres). The second tract (just under 1500 acres) is just a few miles away. The great thing about this tract is that it borders the missile plant for 1.75 miles. There is no hunting allowed on the missile plant, so it is basically a 3000 acre preserve loaded with deer. We manage for 3.5 yr old an older bucks, while taking a decent number of does to try and keep the herd balanced. We are a family oriented club, that enjoys good clean fellowship and the great outdoors that God has blessed us with. Visit our site, read our rules, and give me a call if you are interested. We are looking for members who would be a good fit, and we want to make sure that our club goals are what you are looking for as well.

P.S. We have 25 memberships and our dues are 1850 per year and includes all game. We also have a camp that borders the main lease equiped with power, water, and a bathroom and shower. Members may setup a camper at the camp.

Thanks

850-685-0653
www.freewebs.com/crosswalkhuntclub

Hunting Lease Members Needed Jefferson County FL

Sold... thanks

LOOKING FOR RABBIT RUNNING CLUB

I would like to find a rabbit running club or just some folks who enjoy a good rabbit race.I'm new to the sport but have been running deer for years.Would like to find some people who enjoy the race more then the kill.:)

850 acre Hunting Club Thomasville, Ga.

Looking for members for the 09/10 season
Not only a good Hunting tract but a great recreational tract to be enjoyed by the whole family all year.
Cabin with power.
